Writing Daily in November

Writing Daily in November

I am not interested in being a novelist, but my writing skills definitely need improvement. Many PhD self-help guides recommend daily writing for an audience. The last time I took a proper English course was in high school! Because I don’t write regularly, I am often intimidated by the thought of writing. It can take me up to 20 minutes to write a sentence! The occasional response or research paper does not give me enough practice.

So, I have set myself the goal of writing 500 words a day in the month of November. My pieces will be published as blog posts because I need to practice writing for an audience. I will try to keep the posts book-related, but I may write about other things from time to time.

Let me know if you have any major writing projects planned in November. Will you be participating in NaNoWriMo?

  1. Great goal! I am working on learning French, so my plan is to write a little bit in my blog every day. Maybe not 500 words a day, yet, but I hope to keep improving, so maybe that will be my goal for the end of the month.
