Nigerian-born travel writer. 40+ countries across five continents. Writing practical guides for African passport holders since 2022.
I'm a Nigerian travel writer and the founder of LitExplore. I started this site after spending years frustrated by travel content that assumed its readers held American or European passports and never had to think about visa applications, passport strength, or being denied entry at a border.
I grew up in Lagos and have held a Nigerian passport my entire life. I know what it feels like to spend weeks assembling a Schengen visa application, to budget for a trip in naira while paying in baht or euros, and to find that the "budget travel" advice online doesn't account for the reality of where you're starting from. That's the gap LitExplore exists to fill.
Since 2022 I've visited over 40 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. I've applied for more than a dozen visas across that span, stayed in everything from $10 dorm beds to four-star hotels, and learned the hard way which travel advice is genuinely useful and which is recycled optimism written by people who've never had their visa refused.
Every article on LitExplore that uses first-person voice is written from direct experience. When I say I've been to Bangkok four times, I mean it. When I say the Schengen application process is difficult for Nigerian passport holders, I've lived it. That's the standard I hold this site to.
